People often ask us what happens at RE Cohorts. Here is an overview of what happens during the RE program and the benefits you get as a RE incubated startup.

THE RE COHORT PROGRAM

RE Cohort is a 12 month program. Here’s what happens during the 12 months at RE :

• Our Core Objectives : The overall objective of RE is to hyper-scale startups from 0-1 in 12 months. When startups are on-boarded at  RE they are at different stages. Few of them will not even have a product, few others would have launched for a year or more. But irrespective of the stage a startup is in, our objective is to help them to be in dramatically better shape at the end of 12 months.
  At the end of our cohorts we consider our job is done when our job translates into either of the 2 things : to have a better product with more users, and to have more options for raising money.
  What sets RE Cohort apart from rest of the incubators/accelerators across the globe is the intensity of our program and ecosystem in which we exist. For 3 months, it’s all startup, all the time. Everyone around you—us, the other founders in your batch, the alumni, the speakers, the investors—wants to help your startup succeed. In this environment it’s hard not to be highly motivated. And this is the kind of extraordinary motivation is what one needs to do something as difficult as starting a startup.
   
• RE Ecosystem : RE is located at the heart of a 100 acre Ramaiah campus at the centre of  Bangalore. The campus houses 27 institutions ranging from India’s one of  the largest and advanced hospitals with its associated medical, dental and nursing colleges, the technology institute MSRIT that is ranked No. 1 in Karnataka along with institutions for design, food technology, management and law. Campus also offers you access to labs, R&D setups, test beds and  most importantly to resource pools. Resource pool we mean you will get access to the brightest, qualified & emerging talent pools.
   
• Funding : RE invests upto $1 Million across 10 startups on standard terms. We back Indian founders who are aspiring to bring extraordinary products & innovation to life. We say “ Indian founders” because our mission is to Uplift India & it’s economy through entrepreneurship. Our long term vision is to enable extreme innovative entrepreneurship from India with a focus on cross-disciplinary startups.
   
• Mentor Communities : Founders have access to WhatsApp groups and will be in direct connect with our mentors. Our advisors & mentors are the ones who have been there and done that. With their domain expertise they can save you years of hard work. Our mentor community is a boon for B2B and consumer companies as often get their first 40-50 paying customers from our RE community. With that, you not only get first customers, you get the smartest early product feedback possible.
   
• Demo Days : Once the startups are ready we conduct demo days. the latest batch of RE funded Startups present their companies to an audience of handpicked investors and press. In the weeks following Demo Day we keep in close touch with the startups as they navigate the fundraising maze. Often we talk to the investors ourselves, to find out what they’re really thinking about a particular startup and help them close the capital they are looking at to go to the next level of their startup journey.
   
•  Beyond The Cohorts : RE doesn’t strop after 12 months of program ends. We move them to our alumini network and we will always be in-touch with them as their startups grow. Our vision is to develop a powerful alumini community of Indian Founders in the startup world. When we say powerful it is not just because of size, but also because of the value the alumini networks can create for future breed of Indian Startup founders.
