What is RE Program?

Ramaiah Evolute Program is a new model for funding early-stage Indian start-ups. Once a year we invest up to $1M  in pre-seed/seed capital across 10 cross-disciplinary start-ups. Post investment we work intensively with the companies for 12 months and get them into the best possible shape to catapult them to the next orbit. While in the program we provide opportunities for startups to present their companies to carefully selected, invite-only angels and VC funds to help further capital.

What does the RE Cohort 4 Program have to offer?

Before you get into the process of applying to RE cohorts, it is crucial to understand the details of the same.

• Every year we absorb 1 batch into our RE Cohort Program. We receive thousands of applications to be part of our cohorts, but at the end of it, we choose 10 startups on the basis of the potential they hold. 
• Each shortlisted startup will receive up to 1cr in funding. 
• Once in the program, we will assign a mentor who is most likely the domain expert and has not years but decades of experience in the relevant field. Our mentors help founders save years of hard work with their industry insights. 
• Our Program progresses in 3 different phases.
  1. 1st Phase– We try to analyse the startup and help them discover themselves, and sharpen their financial/business model and position. This process is about 3 months. 
  2. 2nd Phase– By now startups would have already started witnessing some early traction or will be on the path of scaling. This is when we help them build meaningful partnerships & provide the required resources for accelerated growth. This phase usually lasts for about 4-6 months. 
  3. 3rd Phase– At the end of the program, we arrange an investor week. In this arrangement, startups get to present and raise more capital from a selected & handpicked investors community.

   

• Ramaiah Evolute has a massive facility to offer. Ramaiah group is in the heart of Bangalore that houses 27 institutions, campus has one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in the country with its associated medical, dental and nursing colleges. The technology institute MSRIT is ranked 1 in Karnataka along with institutions for design, food technology, management and law. Startups part of the Ramaiah Evolute cohort will get access to all labs, test beds & expertise making this a comprehensive startup ecosystem.
